901 Racing is an amateur cycling team formed in 2012 competing in Road, Gravel, and Mountain Biking. We are comprised of a Men's and Women's team competing across the Southeast in primarily TBRA and USA Cycling events.

The gravel season came to a close this past weekend at @bigsugarclassic and the 901 Racing crew was there in full force! From our newest gravel racer @be_a.ware to seasoned vets like @justonemoore and @nikolaus.hagedorn , everyone was out there having a great time. This race had some gnarly weather that forced everyone (including the pros) to downgrade to shorter distances but everyone still took on the challenge and did it with a smile. Congrats to all of our riders that were out there racing. We’re proud of the training everyone put in this year and looking forward to a relaxing offseason filled with recovery and weekend coffee rides!

Rocky, his wife Mallorie, and their dog Fitz have recently moved back to Memphis and we’re excited to welcome them to the 901 Racing family! Rocky works in the finance world and when he’s not crushing it on the bike or running the trails at Shelby Farms, Rocky is looking forward to spending time with the family or his next Phish show (he’s been to over 50!). We’re excited to add him to the squad and look forward to fun team rides and great racing in the upcoming year!

Congratulations to our teammate @jdwilder14 for his 2nd place finish in the 60+ category at the Fools Gold MTB race in Georgia this past weekend! The Fools Gold MTB race features some challenging climbs, great single track, and over 6,500 ft. of climbing just 54 miles! Special shoutout to Jim’s son Cole who finished 2nd in his age group as well!

Congratulations to our teammate @jdwilder14 for his 2nd place finish in the 60+ category at the Fools Gold MTB race in Georgia this past weekend! The Fools Gold MTB race features some challenging climbs, great single track, and over 6,500 ft. of climbing just 54 miles! Special shoutout to Jim’s son Cole who finished 2nd in his age group as well!

Now that the dust has settled, we want to shine a spotlight on two of our teammates that raced @gravel_worlds in Lincoln, Nebraska this past weekend. @davidax92 took on the 300 miler (the Long Voyage) that includes almost 100% gravel roads and 18,000+ ft of climbing. And we can’t forget the 30 hour time cut off. @justonemoore raced the 150 miler with over 10,000 ft of climbing!!!
They both turned themselves inside out to finish these completely unsupported races. Just them and their bikes (and quite a bit of wind!). David finished 3rd place overall with a time of 19:43! Tim finished 8th in his AG with a time of 10:02:14 (he wishes he’d known about the sub 10hr Golden Cobb award!). Next year Tim!
We would not be this successful without the support of our friends and family. Huge thanks to @mc_4130 , @sara.f.moore and @ax_renae for all that they did to help in their success.

Congrats to Cole McDaniel (@901wax ) on his Third Place finish in Singlespeed at the Leadville Trail 100 MTB race this past weekend! Leadville is THE premier MTB bike race in the US, attracting thousands of participants from the US and around the world. We’re so proud of the work that Cole put into this race. He was on top of his training over these past months and had a great finish at Silver Rush to qualify for a better starting position. He tackled one of the hardest MTB races on the calendar and did it Singlespeed for that extra challenge. Congrats Cole!

@colemcda took on Silver Rush in Colorado this past weekend and came away with a big 3rd place podium spot in the single speed category! This race will test you in every way. A 50 mile MTB race with 8000’ of climbing starting at 10,000’ elevation and goes over 12,000’ twice! If that’s not enough, you also start the race pushing (or carrying) your bike up an insanely steep hill. Pictures don’t do it justice.
Cole has his sights set on Leadville 100 now. With Silver Rush being a qualifier, this gave him a better starting coral! We’re stoked to see him go for the big buckle at Leadville! Let’s go Cole!!! 👏💪 🙌

The @pasnormalstudios Desitnation Everywhere van with @ruben_apers made a stop last night at our very own @lattingspeedshop! It was a fun, fast night on two wheels with some proper food and fellowship after! Thankful to everyone that made it out!

Not only did she take the top step of the overall podium, she also claimed the Women’s QOM Jersey and the Women’s Speedzone Jersey. What an absolutely phenomenal performance! Thanks to @bpcperformance for putting together a fun group of our friends from Memphis to take on this race. Looking forward to next year!

The 2025 Somerville Smasher TN State Road Race was a blast! Thank you to everyone who came out to support this year’s race. From the local Memphis teams to the racers from out of town and out of state, each one of you helped make this race fun and exciting and we can’t wait to do it again next year!

The 2025 Somerville Smasher TN State Road Race is a wrap! It was another great year with great weather and competitive racing. Thank you to all of the racers that came from the Memphis area and all of those that came from Nashville, Arkansas, Mississippi and all of the other surrounding areas.
